Walking holidays in Europe since 1995

Duende Travel designs journeys on foot for people who want to know more. More about the history, more about the food and the wine, more about the culture that lies hidden from view without the insights that our enormously experienced guides know how to provide. Composed using the finest possible resources our trips touch all facets of a country’s heritage.

We always give preference to locally owned and run hotels located in interesting buildings. Equally importantly we are not slaves to going only where there are five star hotels; our journeys are led by curiosity and excitement and we want our stays to add to the overall experience of travel, not to act merely as a comfortable pause between other activities.

Keeping a finger on the pulse of the best around is what we try to do wherever we go, whether it is a restaurant that spans generations or the latest Michelin sensation.
